The mississippi alliance of independent colleges and universities is dedicated to advancing the collective interests of private, nonprofit higher education institutions across the state. As a tax-exempt organization, maicu's primary purpose is to strengthen our member institutions by promoting policies that support educational excellence and accessibility while securing resources to enhance student success. Through this collaboration, the maicu will amplify the impact of independent colleges and universities, ensuring they remain vital contributors to workforce development, civic engagement, and the cultural and economic well-being of mississippi.
