To promote social welfare including but not limited to: 1) developing and advocating for legislation, regulations, and other government programs related to elections and voting rights and 2) engaging with public officials and the general public to promote awareness and stimulate action relating to these public policy issues.

Grassroots organizing. Mvaf will engage in grassroots organizing of individuals concerned with public policy issues related to elections and voting rights. This activity will involve creating a community-based, ground-up network for civilians to advocate for public policy changes. This grassroots organizing will promote social welfare by creating a dynamic platform for concerned community members to advocate for public policy changes that improve voting rights and other civil rights concerns related to elections.

Expenses: $80K

Nonpartisan candidate training. Mvaf will help educate and train individuals who are new to running for political office on how to run for political office and succeed. Candidates will be eligible to participate in these training regardless of their party affiliation. In other words, this activity will be nonpartisan. This activity will promote social welfare by helping to keep the electoral system vibrant and thriving by giving new and diverse voices improved access and educational training.
