The missouri united methodist foundation, incorporated (the foundation) is a charitable organization providing financial education and aid to clergy, grants and scholarships to united methodist churches and students, stewardship and planned giving education to individuals and churches. The foundation solicits and receives gifts, manages and invests custodial funds and net asset funds, administers trusts and annuities, and distributes funds for charitable, religious, and educational purposes as they pertain to the united methodist church in missouri and elsewhere, and includes organizations that share common bonds and convictions with those of the united methodist church.

In response to the identified priorities of the missouri annual conference, the foundation authorizes funding to the conference for evangelism, church development, needs of retired clergy, um youth camp scholarships, congregational development, and to identify and encourage persons to become ordained umc clergy and funds are used to provide food for orphan children living at the carolyn belshe orphanage in mozambique. The foundation provides significant funding for the moac fellowships, a program providing compensation to early career pastors serving a two-year fellowship on staff at select missouri um churches.

Provided funds to 18 scholarship recipients attending theological seminaries during 2024. All students are candidates for ordained pastoral ministry in the missouri annual conference of the united methodist church. All funds were paid to the respective seminary for the benefit of the student. There were also 4 moac fellowship grants to support new and innovative ministry ideas.
