Mona Foundation supports grassroots initiatives around the world that educate children, empower women and girls, and emphasize ethics and service to develop next generation change agents who uplift themselves, their families, and their communities.

FUNDAEC, Colombia - $282,164: 1) Supporting Community Leaders Program - 68 youth from 22 communities were empowered as community leaders, 2) Transforming the Environment - 1,271 participants from 155 communities were trained in agroforestry and 8,000 trees planted, labelled with a code, registered and georeferenced to track progress, 3) Empowering Promoters of Community Well-Being in La Guajira - 70 members of the Indigenous Wayuu community were trained as tutors of the Preparation for Social Action Program.
