Peer review revenues are the net amount of fees received from not-for-profit hospital. Such services serve to improve the quality of care provided in hospitals that have the potential of reducing healthcare costs within the network, and beyond as provided to hospitals out of network. Both activities are of specific and general public benefit. Expenses are professional fees payable to monida healthcare network for monida staff time by employees performing peer review services.
Mri management - mhnr provides management services to monida shared imaging, llc, which owns and operates a mobile mri unit that is used exclusively by not-for-profit hospitals within and without the network. This activity is of general public benefit as it reduces operating costs to hospitals. Expenses are professional fees charged on an hourly basis based on professional rates adopted by mhn.
Credentialing for members is a vital part of the activity of mhnr in that members of mhn must meet credentialing standards to be part of the network.
Umia program is the net revenues earned by mhnr that relates to a group malpractice program provided to healthcare providers within the network. The group insurance program provides general benefit to the public in that it reduces consequential costs that are passed on to healthcare on an individual and group basis. Expenses are professional fees charged on an hourly basis based on professional rates adopted by mhn.
The electronic medical records (emr) program consists of activities related to the implementation, maintenance, and customer service for an emr program being implemented for the healthcare providers within the monida healthcare network (mhn and 'network'). Mhn is the founding for-profit, membership based entity of monida healthcare network resources (mhnr) whose mission is to provide collaborative relationships between its members. These activities are provided to participating members to accomplish an emr protocol reducing costs and managing health care outcomes.
It risk assessments are occasionally performed for not-for-profit critical access hospitals by john prosa, mhn's it director. Such services are provided at low cost and are helpful to protect valuable it security for these small hospitals.
