Organized to develop, foster, promote, & protect programs for the general welfare including economic, social, & political well being of farm people.

Agriculture leadership activities the monroe county farm bureau structure of organizational leadership provides many opportunities for member leaders to keep abreast of issues that affect agriculture. Local board members attend organizational & educational meetings each month. They participate in other local agricultural, civic, & community organizations. Leaders attend district, state & national conferences to network with farmers & other agriculturalists to learn about current issues facing agriculture. A highly developed committee structure provides leadership opportunities for members through meetings, regular communications, and agricultural activities.
Youth leadership development the monroe county farm bureau is a primary sponsor of the countys 4-h and ffa organizations. These organizations are the lifeblood of future agriculture leaders in the county. The monroe county farm bureau also sponsors scholorships for youth in the county who plan on majoring in agriculture.
