2024 annual meeting: each year in january the mppc hosts its annual meeting and trade show in great falls. The theme was protecting the future with innovation and speakers revolved around the topic of looking at the future of the swine industry. There were 40 vendors for the producers to engage with.

In 2024, the mppc held a composting 101 workshop to continue the conversation that stemmed from the fad disease exercise that was completed. Producers walked through an on-farm worksheet to figure out the numbers they would need to compost their animals if they had to do a depopulation event.

In 2024, the mppc completed a strategic plan to guide the organization for the next few years. A taskforce was created to establish 4 pillars of focus and from that activities and metrics were created. The strategic plan was adopted at the 2025 january board meeting.
