The montana public health institute optimizes the health and quality of life of montanans by strengthening the public health system through collaboration, leadership and the advancement of health equity.

Work with regional hubs to assess the landscape to identify strengths, weaknesses and barriers to services for people who use drugs and foster collaborations to create potential solutions.

Provide technical assistance to the montana communities engaged in crisis redesign.

Other program services consisted of the following. Elc: on an ongoing basis, mtphi staff work to provide mentorship, support, and encouragement to public health professionals in the state. Mtphi has continued to build and grow communities of practice that allow for public health professionals to network and exchange ideas. This project includes a community of practice for public health medical directors, infectious disease physicians, local health department epidemiologists and public health emergency preparedness staff. In addition, mtphi has created and published orientation manuals for new staff working in communicable disease and new public health medical directors. 988: provide evaluation services for the 988 suicide prevention hotline. Ppw: provide technical assistance and evaluation for the pregnant and postpartum women sites. Ccbhc: provide technical assistance and evaluation for the planning of certified community behavioral health clinics in montana. Chronic disease: provide support and facilitation to the montana statewide health equity task force. Nnphi health equity: provided technical assistance to state health departments in the implementation of the cdc funding related to health equity. Nnphi age friendly: work to support the adoption of age-friendly public health policies. Trailhead: provided technical assistance to region 8 state health departments in their implementation of the public health infrastructure grant (cdc. Web survey: provided survey and evaluation support to the montana tobacco use prevention program (mtupp). Pathways: facilitate a cohort of health departments to help them prepare for pathways recognition and develop a library of resources for all local and tribal health departments in montana to use to improve public health practice. Ambff: support the montana institute's initiatives. Naccho: develop a workforce development facilitation guide to be used by health departments. Um chw: facilitate strategic planning for the development of a montana community health worker association.
