The mrea board of directors have elected to fund scholarship opportunities on campuses in montana where student teachers are assigned to an mrea member school district. School teacher recruitment has been at critical levels for the past decade and this is one of several inititatives that mrea uses to support and advocate for rural schools in montana.

Mrea retains professional lobbying services to assist in engaging with the legislative process, and to support and advocate for rural schools in montana.
