Perform Search and Rescue Operations The Montrose Search and Rescue Team is one of eight non-profit volunteer rescues teams affiliated with the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department Staffed entirely by a mixture of Los Angeles County Sherriff reserves and Civilian Volunteer Specialists we have over 5700 search and rescue missions The men and women of the team are trained and ready to respond to virtually any wilderness emergency 24-hours a day Averaging between 95-135 calls per year makes Montrose Search and Rescue one of the busiest teams in the county and the state
