Public education: in fy24 the museum hosted a total of 98 group visits, serving 3,854 k-12 school children from 10 nj counties and a variety of adult tour groups. We present a layered approach to hosting organized pre-k-12 children through partnerships with local schools, bringing in groups from 45 different schools in northern nj. On their visits, these children experience tours and art-making activities, led by our museum educators. Additionally, the museum offers opportunities for self-directed and facilitated learning experiences through festival events, family days, and our smithsonian spark!lab, for hands-on learning and exploration.
