Patient/Employee Emergency Assistance:Morristown-Hamblen Hospital Foundation's employee emergency assistance fund provided crisis support to 23 employees and 6 patients of Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System who were facing unexpected financial crises due to fires, car accidents, illnesses, deaths, etc. In 2024, assistance was provided for housing, transportation, funerals, utilities, medical needs and Hurricane Helene damage-related recovery and repairs.

Labor and Delivery:The Foundation distributed just over $20,000 to the Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System labor and delivery department to fund the purchase of a panda warmer. This specialized newborn warming system provides a safe, temperature-regulated space for nursing staff to assess and evaluate the baby immediately after birth. If the baby suffers a complication, the equipment also includes an all-in-one system that has the features necessary to perform a resuscitation, including airway management, gentle ventilation and pulse oximetry. Additionally, the Panda Warmer can record the baby's weight, has adjustable lights for optimal lighting and uses a hands-free alarm control to help maintain a quiet environment. It is fully mobile and helps the team stabilize and transport the infant, whether from the operating room, emergency department or patient room, to the nursery without an interruption in care.
