Mission
MOSAIC is "In the Community, and in the World, for Good." MOSAIC serves 1 in 25 Utahns: elders, seniors, unemployed, refugees/first generation, economic immigrants, and extremely low-income individuals and families through quality, unduplicated, services. All of MOSAIC's programs have a core intervention: to provide immediate basics for long-term sustainability through health, education, and especially, employment. MOSAIC was/is open throughout the Pandemic, and continues to work with government and foundations in public outreach and education post COVID-19. MOSAIC leverages every $1 cash donation with real, in-kind, donations valued at $41.28 ($1:$41.28 ratio).

5,382 adults received employment readiness services and/or college and employment placement. Each person received coaching and mentoring with off-site and/or on-site services in: ESL - English to Work Courses, Mock Interviews, Apprenticeships, Resume Construction, Apprenticeship, On-the-Job Training, Fiscal Planning, How to Ask for a Raise, The Next Step in Career Development, Work Clothing and Permits, and a College Education Plan. During the process of working toward employment, an adult receives a Great Clips Hair Cut, new Famous Footwear shoes, and name brand interview clothing. 45% of those entering these services are placed in live-able wage, health- benefited, employment. 484 of MOSAIC's previously placed diverse adults received benchmark gains in promotions, raises or new jobs at higher grades. The impact of a constant source of income in the family cannot be understated as it reaches over 40,000 people in extended family units in economic education and monetary benefit. In addition, $73 million is generated in the local and American economy; and $25 million is saved for better expenditure in unused government assistance.
MOSAIC's in-home senior assistance program provides a free information packet to area seniors and their caregivers. In this free resource packet, MOSAIC provides a listing of low-cost home health aides to provide in-home care in order that a senior can stay home safely - as long as possible. Yard care and snow removal is part of the benefit. 55 home health aides, CNAs, RNs are currently working in MOSAIC's home health aide listing. in 2024, 1118 senior packets were distributed. Additionally, 2000+ - 55+ and Blue Book Senior Resource books and health kits were provided to homebound seniors. Food and Health kits were provided liberally to senior clients in the food distribution services. Employment Readiness & Placement Services as well as volunteer opportunities are given to seniors.
For decades, MOSAIC has provided integration and education services for refugees and economic immigrants to assist with entry into American living, and especially, the American economy. MOSAIC provides basics to employment, English classes, Health & Wellness classes, connections to home ownership and fiscal education. Our main goals are: 1. to provide a welcome and trusted place for tailored case interventions; 2. to provide health, education and employment placements for each family to have economic stabilization to live a full life in Utah. As one Liberian single mom so eloquently stated, "In America, you've got to learn to earn!"
