Mothers Milk Bank Of Mississippi

Community outreach and education:this year, mother's milk bank focused on community outreach to make an impact in the community. The bank hosted/attended 9 community outreach events, and had the largest community attendance at the annual pacing for preemies 5k to date.this year, for education and outreach purposes, the bank had increased presence in the state through billboards, newspaper articles, wlbt news segments, commercials, magazine spots, and press releases. The new website revamp resulted in over 122 new potential donor interest. As we ignite partnerships, we learned that inviting them to tour the facility is positive and impactful. Once they see the work of staff and volunteers, they are amazed at the difference being made and how this small force can get things done. The organization continues to learn being invovled in community events allows the milk bank to make its mark and teach others about the mission and how these fragile babies need this support.
