The moultrie county beacon, inc. Operates on the principle that all people with developmental disabilities and mental illness have: strengths, abilities and value to their community; the constitutional, civic and moral right to live, work, play and worship in the safe and healthy community of their choice; and must be treated with dignity and respect.
Programs

Cds provides activities, including basic daily living skills, work training, work skills for developmentally disabled adults. Approximately 70 consumers are served by this program. This program is offered monday through friday for 5.5 hours per day.
Employment services are offered to individuals that desire to work in the community. This service empowers each person by maximizing his or her ability with a wide range of education and experience in finding and succeeding at competitive job placement. The moultrie county beacon has implemented an employment specialist to ensure the success of those supported, and to provide them with tools and on the job support to help them as they navigate through their job responsibilities.
