Programs
2 programs
The home health nursing program is accredited by the national institute for home care accreditation, yet services remain free to low-income elderly patients throughout mercer county. The guild does not receive reimbursement from medicare or other insurance. This year 36 patients received a total of 474 units of service (up to 45 minutes a unit for direct care). Registered nurses provided comprehensive assessments, vital signs monitoring, medication management, prefilled syringes, injections, glucose blood checks and blood thinners monitoring. Many patients have remained medically stable and are living in their own homes at year end, aging with grace and dignity. All patients who required additional social services were linked to needed services.
