Mountain valley horse rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that rescued its first horses in 2004, and became a 501(c)(3) in 2005 with the mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abused, neglected, abandoned, and unwanted horses. Mountain valley horse rescue also works to reduce cases of horse abuse and neglect through education and outreach.
