Programs

1 program

In an effort to provide earlier interventions earlier interventions through our programming objectives, mike expanded its reach into middle school classrooms for the first time during the 2023-2024 school year. We adapted our curriculum and approach to ensure that our programming was developmentally appropriate for this younger audience.(continued on schedule o...) one of the highlights of this expansion was our partnership with rosemary anderson middle school in north portland. Through their existing health classes, mike engaged with three cohorts of students, delivering our mentored health education programming. Students eagerly participated in discussions on topics such as body image, the connection between nutrition and skin health, and misinformation in social mediaissues that resonated strongly with them.this new middle school programming was a resounding success. We found that this age group was especially engaged in the sessions and eager to learn. Building on this momentum, we will continue offering programming at our current partner schools in the coming year while also expanding to serve more middle school students in the portland metro area and rural communities across oregon.(continued on schedule o...)
