Develop and Advocate for Culture Friendly Policies and Procedures: In 2024 we worked with the City Council and several city cultural agencies to write and formaly adopt an ordinance that mandates the musicans are paid a minimum of $200 hr per performance whenever performances are paid for using city funds. This is one of the first such ordiannces passed in the nation. We also worked to support street musicains held several large meetings and networking events and continued providing content for our monthly column in ANTIGRAVITY magazine.

Research and Direct Assistance: Our ongoing work on the Frenchmen Notes website continued this year and we also produced several guides for culture community members to assist them in engaging with local government. We worked directly with over 50 street performers to help them better interact with local law enforecement and speak at local government meetings. We also worked directly with cultural community members to connect them with other support systems assistance and funding mechanisims.
