Mission
The mission of the oregon music teachers association. Is the advancement of musical knowledge and education. Activities of the association promote the art of music and the advancement of musical knowledge by providing educational opportunities which further the appreciation of music.
Programs
3 programs
Conference: the organization holds an annual conference which offers educational opportunities for our teacher members. Presentations, masterclasses, and concerts are given by some of the best pedagogues and artists in the nation. Members also enjoy the opportunity to network with a cross-section of teachers from throughout the state. Approximately 125 members take advantage of this opportunity annually.
Operations: member dues, sales of teaching materials, sales of publication ads and grant monies support the many expenses incurred by the organization.
The other revenues are from various festivals, dues and competitions.
