Mission
Musicians Mission of Mercy unites compassionate musicians and others with generous hearts to provide food, beverages and other life essentials to people in need.
Programs
2 programs
4b. Field Team Visits deliver food and other life essentials to people in need who are unable to get food boxes from Compassionate Commissary locations due to physical limitations or lack of transportation. In addition to shelf-stable food, Field Team Visits secure and deliver fresh produce, meats, milk, eggs and frozen foods as well as personal care/hygiene items and paper products. The organization averages about 60 Field Team Visits per month.
4c. General Assistance shifted into high gear in response to Hurricane Helene. Because Musicians Mission of Mercy already had a distribution infrastructure in place with its Compassionate Commissary program, the organization became a hub of gathering and delivering life-sustaining supplies to people who suffered great loss to the hurricane. Musicians Mission of Mercy procured and delivered power generators, blankets, clothing, propane, tents, camp stoves, and many other items. In certain situations, the General Assistance program also provided cash and financial support for necessities such as electric bill payments and car repairs to help people maintain their lives and livelihoods. Thousands of people were served from September 27 through the end of 2024.
