MVCF supports community enrichment by providing funding opportunities to local nonprofits and organizations throughout the Musselshell Valley. In 2024, MVCF awarded four community grants totaling $17,610.94 to projects that strengthen our community and benefit future generations. Recipients included RIDE, Roundup Wrestling Club, HRDC, and the Musselshell County Rural Fire Department. Of this amount, $6,017 was disbursed by year-end, as most grants are reimbursable. In addition, MVCF contributed $32,653 to its Agency Endowment held with the Montana Community Foundation to build long-term funding capacity for future community grants.

MVCF sponsors Market on Main, a seasonal community event that brings residents and visitors together to celebrate local creativity and connection. The Market provides space for area artisans, growers, and organizations to share their work, encourages community interaction, and fosters a vibrant small-town atmosphere through music, food, and family-friendly activities.

Expenses: $15K

The Arts & Culture Committee (A&C) of the Musselshell Valley Community Foundation promotes community enrichment by sponsoring and hosting local cultural events that entertain, educate, and engage residents of all ages - most notably the annual Shakespeare in the Parks performance.

Expenses: $1K

MVCF serves as the fiscal sponsor for the Musselshell County Recovery Team (MCRT), established to receive donations and provide assistance to individuals affected by the 2011 Musselshell River flood. The MCRT later expanded its mission to include support for residents impacted by the 2012 wildfires and 2013 flooding. While currently dormant with no active disaster response needs, the MCRT remains in place and ready to mobilize when future emergencies arise.
