Mwhr is committed to providing a safe haven for previously owned mustangs, wild horses, and burros that are no longer wanted by their owners or those that have been abandoned, abused, and/or neglected by their owners. Mwhr rehabilitates the horses so they can successfully be re-adopted. In 2022 the rescue obtained a contribution for 1.578 million and secured a loan for 500,000 in order to acquire the 22.97 acres or land on which the charity is located. The loan is a three year interest only loan with a balloon payment due at the end of year three.
