Mission

To provide alternative solutions to prevent interpersonal gun violence, alongside life skills and support to youth in underserved communities. Through conflict resolution/mediation, peer mentorship, intervention and prevention programs, peer support groups, workshops, and community events, mtvdc staff is equipped to engage with youth around a wide range of topics, including social and emotional awareness, health and wellness, youth development, job readiness, entrepreneurship, cultural arts, and restorative justice. By participating in mtvdc programming, youth gain the necessary skills, confidence, and decision-making abilities to make healthier choices and become role models in their communities.
