My Brothers Keeper Task Force Inc

Created & facilitated the Fall Empowerment Program, designed to work with the 18-30 year old demographic to assist them in building their skill sets in the areas of financial education, mental health, life skills, and career exploration. The group of 20 selected participants engaged in a 5 week program, with 60 hours of workshop instruction. Attendees met and connected with business owners, politicians, educators, technology professionals, etc. Workshops included Financial Education & Investment Literacy, Resilience Building, Mental Health Education & Wellness, Root Cause Analysis, and Invention Presentation Success. Over the course of the program each created a 5-year plan including SMART goal, timelines, and budgets, for them to apply to their lives and created a foundation for future success.

MBK & Massachusetts General Hospital Neurology Internship collaboration, multiple sessions, including one in which 15 rising Cambridge high school juniors and seniors were engaged in an 8 week experience studying the impact of Alzheimer's on the human brain. Interns engaged in both collaborative group work activities and individualized one-on-one support and guidance. The program included extensive career exploration within the medical field, with interns receiving training from top neuroscientists in advanced brain mapping software, comprehensive medical research and complex scientific terminology, while gaining valuable insights into the field's technology, educational pathways, and diverse career opportunities.

Collaborated with Lemelson MIT to develop and present the L.I.F.T. partnership program, focusing on innovation and leadership development. Program members engaged in groundbreaking research on public education, utilizing both academic research and personal experiences to indentify systemic issues within public education and develop creative invention-based solutions. The 7-week program emphasized invention and innovation, financial education, life skills development and mental health coaching.Collaborated with Harvard's Legacy of Slavery initiative to host a transformative community conversation, to help educate the Cambridge community about the findings of the Harvard slavery research report and to discuss the univerity's pledge to repair the harm, including panel conversations, viewing of short film, and community conversations with the over 150 people in attendance.Delivered a comprehensive 10 week program with the Community Art Center, serving middle school boys through a flexible drop-in format, of specialized workshops focused on building self-agency skills, communication development, self-reflection practices, conflict resolution strategies, community engagement techniques, and trust-building exercises. Successfully established collaborative partnership with the Transition House to integrate specialized workshops into the the Summer Empowerment Program, bringing professional expertise in healthy relationship education to program participants. Facilitated the Annual Radical King community conversation in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday, focusing on meaningful community engagement and social justice themes, and support of marginalized communities through direct, hands-on assistance. Expansion of the Liberation Libraries program,including branding community-based little libraries, curating and distributing new book selections, and organizing author talks to strengthen community literary engagement.Engaged in various educational iniatives with citywide public schools, Mayor, Education Advisor, and school committee leaders,to explore strategies that support comprehensive student and parenting engagement. Consulted on and contributed expertise in crafting policy language on the development of a Commission of Black Male Advancement for Cambridge. Organized and hosted a citywide Community Conversation with the Cambridge School Committee, to discuss with transparency, district challenges while highlighting the commitment to implementing individualized success plans for all students. Partnered with Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School to co-facilitate their inaugural school-wide financial education event, with an emphasis on personal financial education & healthy decision-making skills.
