Mission
The mission of mycatholicdoctor foundation (mcdf) is to answer the call of jesus christ in luke 10:9, when he said, "cure the sick who are there, and say to them, 'the kingdom of god has come near to you.'" we are pro-life and pro- eternal life. We evangelize, pray, promote catholic healthcare education, provide charity care, and support clinical operations.

One flesh initiative: the universal human experience of illness is a powerful time to recognize that 1) suffering is redemptive and an opportunity to grow in holiness, and 2) healing is a work of god, for which we can be grateful. All good things come from the lord. Through illness and healing the kingdom of god comes near to us. As healthcare professionals answering the call of jesus christ in luke 10:9, our job is to 1) provide state-of-the-art, effective, ethical medical care and 2) accompany patients in their suffering and healing, so that they recognize that in this time of sickness and healing, the kingdom of god has come near to them. We provide public education regarding catholic healthcare, including the benefits of uniquely catholic approaches to medical care, the moral and ethical teachings of the catholic church, the differences between secular and catholic healthcare, and access to catholic healthcare. Our education endeavors on catholic healthcare include grand rounds for clinicians, public webinars, the online magazine "catholic medical news and views", news releases, email newsletters and social media in support of catholic healthcare, public speaking at conferences and other events, printed educational materials, and media coverage including but not limited to online and print publications, radio, podcasts, television and more.
Holy family initiative: everyone at mycatholicdoctor is asked to seek personal holiness and encouraged to cultivate a daily prayer life, to know, love, and serve god in this world and to be happy with him forever in the next. We especially pray for the sick and for catholic healthcare providers. We sponsor a prayer and worship service including the chaplet of divine mercy daily at 3 pm from our main eucharistic adoration chapel. This is open to the public, led by our staff and clinicians, and livestreamed on certain occasions. We collect and share prayer requests on our website and email lists. We print prayer intention cards and other prayer materials.
Blessed are the poor initiative: we fund charity care for the uninsured and underinsured who are seeking catholic healthcare, we provide grant support for continuing medical education from a catholic perspective, and we advocate for equitable reimbursement for catholic healthcare services. Evangelization initiative: this initiative is the overall philosophy and mission of our religious apostolate, and is captured in our mission statement: to answer the call of jesus christ in luke 10:9, when he said, "cure the sick who are there, and say to them, 'the kingdom of god has come near to you.'" our apostolate is based on the dual call of jesus christ to both cure the sick and proclaim his kingdom. We support catholic healthcare professionals to respond to both calls. We believe healthcare professionals cannot fully answer this dual call unless they are practicing independently and with the full voice of faith. Everyone involved with mycatholicdoctor is asked to prayerfully follow the holy spirit's inspiration in discerning how to respond to this call in their daily work. Ponder the meaning of the words of luke 10:9: how is god calling you to cure the sick, in body, mind, and spirit? How is god calling you to speak of his kingdom to others? These divinely inspired words of sacred scripture in luke 10:9 may be truly understood in many ways, and they contain innumerable graces for us. Every catholic is called to evangelize, and so we must respond to the call of god, first by seeking to know him in prayer.
