Education and advocacy: nami-metro suburban provides education and support for families and individuals that have been affected by mental illness. Multi-week classes are offered for both family members and individuals to learn about mental illness, medication, coping skills, and wellness planning. Nami's school program teaches students about the signs and symptoms of mental illness, the importance of early detection and treatment, and how to help a friend. Community series and other classes are held to educate the community on mental illness issues to help alleviate the stigma associated with mental illness. Nami also provides mental illness education to police, faith based organizations and libraries.

The loft: in partnership with pillars community health, the loft at 8 corners is a teen wellness center open 7 days a week. Staffed by recovery support specialists and clinicians, this program offers a safe space for junior high and high school students to walk in for mental wellness support. Teens are screened to ensure they do not need a higher level of care and can participate in a variety of groups or talk one on one with a peer. This program offers groups, classes, and crisis support.

Drop-in center: nami's drop-in center is open 7 days a week for adult mental health consumers. The programming strives to reintegrate the whole "person" back into the community by utilizing a process where each client is given the opportunities to build social and employment skills vital to a full recovery from mental illness. The center serves 135 unduplicated persons annually.

Ips career center: employment is a core principle for recovery for the majority of individuals that live with a mental helath condition. Nami's ips bilinigual career center is an evidence-based practice supported by dartmouth university. The career center works with both adults and transitional youth (ages 18-24) years of age. A nami employment specialist works with individuals on all phases of job preparation and development. The focus is on finding a balance between employment and recovery goals. Nami's ips adherence to best practice guidelines has made nami a leader in the field of employment for people with severe mental illness.

Successful transitions: madden state hospital's successful transition program provides discharging psychiatric patients up to 6 months of follow along peer support including critical resource connections to housing, food, employment, medication management, phones, transportation, mental wellness education and other recovery supports.
