NAMI Family-to-Family is an 8-week evidenced-based educational program for family, significant others and friends of people living with mental health conditions. The program helps those closest to an individual living with a mental health condition strengthen their communication and problem-solving skills, while also building advocacy and self care abilities. Classes are led by NAMI-trained family members with first hand experience and include education, guided discussions, interactive exercises and information about resources available in the county. Three classes were offerred, benefiting 61 family members who were also introduced to NAMI Mid-Hudson's additional support programs. In addition, a 2 hour Family and Friends seminar on mental health was presented twice during the fiscal year, reaching a total of 70 family members.

NAMI Mid-Hudson provided vital mental health education and support across Dutchess and Ulster counties through peer-led family support groups, and the connection recovery support group reaching 650 families. Additional programs like Peer to Peer and In Our Own Voice presentations supported 73 individuals, while over 3,500 community members engaged with NAMI Mid-Hudson at more than 93 wellness events. These efforts were made possible through the EDRHN, DCDMH and APG grant funding. During Mental Health Awareness Month, a community walk across the the Walkway over the Hudson helped raise visibility and promote mental health literacy.
