National Alliance on Mental Illness of Rockland County was founded in 1981 and is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of all persons affected by mental illness through education, advocacy, and support. The organization is committed to empowering people living with mental illness at all levels of recovery by offering hope, assistance and education. The organization promotes research, fosters understanding, and combats discrimination and stigma through outreach to the community.
