Mission
To strengthen cooperation and understanding between the peoples of Japan and the United States by providing programs, services and information to and faciliatating cooperation among its member societies throughout North America.
Programs

Member Services: NAJAS hosts an annual conference of all members to build connections within the member society network and with other Japan-related organizations, recommends speakers for members events and represents the network, and provides capacity building experiences and tools. Working with outside foundations and corporations, NAJAS provides funding for Japan-related programming to our members.
Secretariat Activity for CIE-US: NAJAS arranges meetings of the CIE-US board of directors, prepares regulatory documents, aids in administrative duties, and acts as a liason with the NAJAS member societies. NAJAS aids in selecting American host cities for CIEs Grassroots summits and in recruiting financial sponsors and American participants for grassroots summits when they re held in Japan.
Keizai Koho Center Teacher Fellowship Program: NAJAS helps in the administration of this program which organizes a ten-day fellowship to Japan for educators form the United States and Canada, allowing them to learn first-hand about comtemporary Japanese society and enhance classroom teaching of global perspectives.
