Professional development: nai holds professional certification or training courses hosted by the national office, the courses include interpretive guide train-the-trainer, interpretive host train-the trainer, coaching interpreters, and process of interpretive planning. Additionally, nai-certified trainers conduct roughly 200 certificate courses for more than 3,000 attendees for interpretive guides and interpretive hosts. Nai also hosts monthly webinars and online training courses.

Membership: membership included roughly 6,000 members in approximately 30 countries. Member services include access to restricted online resources, subscription to legacy magazine, assistance with career development, and discounts on networking and professional development events.
