Consultations: nadd provides state-of-the-art consultation and training to agencies, organizations and government entities across a broad spectrum of issues in persons with duel diagnoses. Nadd's areas of expertise include, diagnosis and assessment, research, counseling and theraphy, drug therapy, program models, residential services, offenders, staff training, social and sexual issues, syndromes, administration and systems, aging and environmental health. Nadd's network of experts can analyyze and assist organizations in the development of programs, treatments and supports to better serve their clients.

Accreditation and certification: accreditation for programs serving individuals with a dual diagnosis and compentency based certification of individuals providing care.

Information and education: publishing of books and educational materials concerning mental health in persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Publishing a research journal. Providing professional training live, virtually, and asynchronously. Membership is open to individuals and organizations interested in the promotion of mental health in persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
