To advance mental health wellness for persons with developmental disabilities through the promotion of excellence in mental health care.

Consultations: nadd provides state-of-the-art consultation and training to agencies, organizations and government entities across a broad spectrum of issues in persons with duel diagnoses. Nadd's areas of expertise include, diagnosis and assessment, research, counseling and theraphy, drug therapy, program models, residential services, offenders, staff training, social and sexual issues, syndromes, administration and systems, aging and environmental health. Nadd's network of experts can analyyze and assist organizations in the development of programs, treatments and supports to better serve their clients.

Accreditation and certification: accreditation for programs serving individuals with a dual diagnosis and compentency based certification of individuals providing care.

Expenses: $94K

Information and education: publishing of books and educational materials concerning mental health in persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Publishing a research journal. Providing professional training live, virtually, and asynchronously. Membership is open to individuals and organizations interested in the promotion of mental health in persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Member services: nadd provides membership services to professionals, organizations, and direct support providers who serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (idd) and co-occuring mental health conditions. Member services include access to specialized training programs, webinars, and continuing education opportunities designed to enhance professional competence and promote best practices in the field. Members receive discounts on nadd conferences and publications, access to a member directory for networking and collaboration, and eligibility for professional and organizational certification and accreditation programs.
