Importantly, directors and boards turn to nacd to gain the knowledge and wisdom to become a strategic asset to their companies. Our entire organization is focused on meeting the needs of the board members and supporting directors to perform more effectively and efficiently.

The nacd three rivers chapter hosts an annual director of the year awards gala to recognize the work of individuals and boards who are advancing the mission of nacd through excellence in corporate governance.
The nacd three rivers chapter hosts an annual "future of board leadership" symposium. This symposium will bring together people from across the country to discuss what boards can do to ensure diversity and its role in better governance. Boards comprising directors who vary in age, gender, ethnicity, and experience bring unique perspectives to the table that help ensure better decision making and ultimately, stronger organizations.
