As the largest association of independent schools, nais co-creates the future of education by uniting and empowering our community. We do this through thought leadership, research, creation and curation of resources, and direct collaboration with education leaders.

Equity and justice: nais supports schools that want to cultivate diverse and inclusive learning communities. Programs that support this goal include the people of color conference, student diversity leadership conference, the diversity leadership institute, and the assessment of inclusivity and multiculturalism.

Leadership and governance: nais offers a suite of professional development institutes and other tools and services to help school leaders and governing boards develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed. Programs in this area include the annual conference, the institute for new heads, leadership through partnership institute, fellowship for aspiring school heads, and other in-person and virtual training experiences.
