Our money matters (omm) is a free online tool designed to develop, support, and scale access to financial education and sound financial practices for members of under-served communities.
Financial wellness - the our money matters (omm) financial wellness digital platform represents an opportunity to connect the work of mdis in delivering financial products and services to underserved communities. Developed by hbcu community development action coalition (hbcu cdac), the omm initiative and its digital platform empowers and supports participants in communities and educational settings to acquire knowledge, build habits, and access financial literacy education and personal finance tools and resources. The omm/nbca pilot initiative ("the pilot") connected financial wellness programming to financial product and service delivery that addresses the racial wealth gap.
Windward fund - climate lending is to support the mdis'ability to fund climate change adaptation, mitigation, and resilience projects.
Visa international - grant funds to support the planning phase of the b.o.s.s (back-office support systems) tank - a multi-million, multi-year initiative aimed at small businesses in the dc area. The grant will be focused on three key objectives: finalize the design and strategic plan for the b.o.s.s tank initiative; develop a playbook on how mdis and philanthropy can collaborate to strengthen inclusive entrepreneurship; develop a framework for how funds generated from $100m in esg bonds will be allocated toward strengthening small businesses.
