Mission

Founded in 2016, the National Black Prosecutors Foundation (NBPF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing scholarships, fellowships, and mentorship to law students who demonstrate a desire to serve the community as prosecutors. In 2021, the NBPF expanded its outreach and launched a fellowship program that provides funding, placement, and mentorship to law students who participate in a competitive 8-10 week non-paid internship at prosecuting offices.Part V, Line 34As a part of our duties as Directors, we undertook revising the NBPF Bylaws and updated and clarified certain terms and provisions. Our goal was internal consistency, clarity, and modernization. For example, we updated the language concerning the seal of the Foundation to reflect the usage of an electronic logo. Additionally, we clarified the title of all Board officers as "Directors" for consistency throughout the Bylaws.
