The public affairs program seeks to increase awareness and knowledge about substance use and substance use disorders among residents, policymakers, and professionals to establish an integrated recovery-oriented system of care that provides a robust continuum of care with evidence-based prevention, treatment, and recovery services in new jersey. The program also strives to reduce the stigma associated with substance use and its related harms and to support addiction recovery efforts in the state of new jersey. These efforts include the statewide ncaar advocacy leadership program.

The goal of the fvo is to conduct family violence risk assessments throughout the state for new jersey citizens seeking cash, food stamp, medicaid, or housing assistance through the county board of social services. Fvo services include comprehensive clinical risk assessment, referral to domestic violence counseling and support services, and waiver recommendations to the county offices.
