Mission
The National Center for Childrens Illustrated Literature (NCCIL) exists to exhibit, tour, collect, preserve and promote original art from the finest childrens literature while inspiring children of all ages to read and be creative. See Schedule O for additional information.
Programs

The NCCIL offers several opportunities for the community to learn about the displayed art and explore their creative talents. Some of this free programming includes family art activities, monthly art adventure for preschoolers, instructional exhibition tours for students, and annual workshops and art camps for all ages.
The Organization provides exhibitions of artwork from childrens literature to museums, public libraries, and galleries nationwide.
