CANCEL VIOLENCE: ARTISTS SPEAK is a dynamic exhibition at the Museum of the National Center of Afro-American Artists (NCAAA) featuring works by Hakim Raquib, Rob Stull, Johnetta Tinker, Laurence Pierce, Rob PROBLAK Gibbs, Shea Justice, Paul Goodnight, and LMerchie Frazier. Supported by the Mayors Office of Arts and Cultures UN-MONUMENTS Initiative with funding from the Mellon Foundation, the exhibition explores the causes and consequences of violence while offering pathways toward healing and community restoration. As part of its ongoing programming, NCAAA presented PROJECTING PEACE, an interdisciplinary event that included large-scale outdoor projections, a choreo-poem inspired by Ntozake Shange, and a community discussion led by the Louis D. Brown Peace Instituteall amplifying the exhibitions call for reflection, accountability, and social transformation.
