Advocacy & community engagement (ace):advocacy & community engagement (ace) at ncjw | la is dedicated to fostering a just society and addressing the needs of women, children, and families through effective advocacy training. Members and volunteers actively participate in an annual lobby day, focusing on progressive policies that promote economic justice and equity for women in los angeles. These efforts include advocating for financial stability, a fair economy, tax reforms, and robust work protections. Ncjw | la prioritizes comprehensive reforms across local to national platforms to tackle wage disparities, housing inequities, childcare accessibility, healthcare access, and reproductive justice. Through advocacy for inclusive financial systems and progressive taxation, ncjw | la tirelessly work towards fostering a more just society where all women can thrive economically, socially, and emotionally. Ncjw | la's advocacy work raises awareness about the impact of these issues through campaigns, special events, and educational outreach programs. A key component of the advocacy program is the advocacy training project (atp), a hands-on, interactive, multi-level course designed to engage community activists and help them translate their passion for a cause into tangible action and advocacy. Each year, atp empowers 75-100 participants to become effective advocates for change.
