Continuing education - the council offers its members a wide variety of educational offerings throughout the year specific to the practice of structural engineering, taught by leaders in the field, including live and recorded webinars, a structural engineering exam review & refresher course, and publication seminars.

Committees - the council has a variety of committees that work to further the its mission to constantly improve the level of standard of practice of the structural engineering profession throughout the united states, and to provide an identifiable resource for those needing communication with the profession. These committees include those for academia-practice partnerships, code advisory, communications, education, resilience, structural engineering emergency response (seer), structural engineering engagement and equity (se3), structural licensure, sustainable design, and young member support.
