Programs

Education & training:throughout the year the chapter arranges and schedules a wide variety of educational programs for members to attend, ranging from technical management, project management, field supervision, electrical estimating and osha related electrical safety seminars. Additionally, the chapter hosts a winter and summer conference in january and july with a focus on educational programming as well as social events for members to attend. We also arrange and coordinate member attendance and national, district, and regional conventions and conferences. Members pay registration fees to attend and participate in each of the aforementioned programs; however, the fees collected are established to cover costs and are not revenue generators for the chapter. The chapter provides an educational subsidy to all of its member firms to attend any chapter sponsored seminar in which the first seven attendees from each firm pay a flat $99 cost regardless of the program. This applies to firms that report less than 75,000 work hours annually. Firms reporting work hours in excess of 75,000 pay $99 for the first fourteen attendees. A total of 19 programs were presented in 2024.

Monthly membership meetings and member services:the chapter has eight divisions located throughout the state of wisconsin. Each division meets monthly and follows a prepared agenda providing reports on area specific pension, health & welfare, and local apprenticeship matters. Communications and officers' reports are presented, and old and new matters of business are addressed. Member services covers a broad-spectrum including requests for information, research, or other assistance members may need in relation to the overall operation of their electrical contracting business.

Grants:the wisconsin chapter board of directors periodically provides grants to assist members of the neca student chapter at the university of wisconsin-madison. Each year, electri-interanional (neca's education and research arm) sponsors the green energy challenge which is open to neca student chapters around the country. The competition culminates with members of the selected teams traveling to neca's national convention to present their proposal to a panel of judges. The grant money is used to help with travel, meal, and lodging expenses for the students.
