To broaden the pathways to medical education, provide transformative leadership opportunities, and ensure clinical research includes everyone.

Mission-based education - national medical fellowshipsoffers mission-based, experiential learning programs that enhance scholars' knowledge and skills regarding best practices in community health. These programs present opportunities for scholars to cultivate and strengthen their collaborative leadership abilities so that they can address the health needs of all communities.

Professional and career development - nmf provides scholarship information to students and academic institutions and communicates the critical need to expand the healthcare workforce to address current and growing shortages. Nmf also coordinates and organizes volunteer and community service opportunities to promote public awareness about its programs. In addition, with the support of almuni, friends, and partners, nmf is building a robust almuni network. Through nmf almuni-sponsored events and other activities, this network is being brought into active partnership to strengthen and expand programs, and provide financial support for the organization.
