Organization's vision statement: the vision of the national organization of italian american women is to unite,celebrate and empower each other. Organizational goals: we are committed to incorporating virtual strategies to meet the following organizational goals in the year 2023-2024: - recruit new directors to expand national board membership, - identify leadership to charter additional regions, - increase national membership by actively recruiting beyond existing regions and networks, - continue to plan virtual programming and include organizational meetings such as the annual members meeting as online events to promote more national member participation.

Cultural exchange program: this program was established in 2007 in collaboration with the italian ministry of foreign affairs to provide college women from the united states and italy the opportunity to visit the other's country for an educational and cultural experience. Due to procedural changes mandated by the ministry of foreign affairs, this program was not held in 2023 & 2024. We look forward to resuming the cultural exchange program in the near future.

Virtual and in-person educational and cultural programs were conducted from july 2023 until mid-march 2024 when programming transitioned to both in person and some virtual programming were conducted to achieve noiaw's mission and promote the accomplishments of italian american women. Programs and conferences are held to provide a forum for women united by heritage to share their experiences and strengthen the international community of women of italian ancestry.
