To serve as the premier chapter of the Pennsylvania Society Sons of the American Revolution (PASSAR) and the National Society Sons of the American Revolution in conformance with its stated mission to perform public service and provide education to the public about the American Revolution and to foster patriotism in its members and in the public at large.

Patriotism and other educational work: The Philadelphia Continental Chapter (PCC) encourages its members and the public to perform patriotic service. The PCC supports Memorial Day grave marking of Revolutionary War patriots and maintains an active Color Guard unit, which participates in a wide variety of public events like parades, commemorations, veterans events, etc. The PCC also provides scholarships and other awards to local area students through school programs. The PCC supports Scouting in the Philadelphia area.
