The voices for honest education fellowship engages state teachers of the year and finalists passionate about teaching truth in classrooms across america. Voices for honest education fellows work to preserve access, inclusion, and meaningful content so that every student has an opportunity to succeed and thrive.
The national stem fellowship continues to advance the educational, social, and economic impact of stem education through the teaching profession. This year, the fellowship put state teachers of the year and finalists in a unique position to educate policymakers with their subject matter expertise and practice and policy perspectives. Through a national virtual stem convening, national conferences, edweek press coverage, and promotion by national organizations, the stem career engagement guides are reaching new heights, while continuing to provide support to all grade-level teachers to encourage students to pursue stem education-to-career pathways.
Nnstoy developed teaching beyond the barriers, a six-part professional development course designed around the habits of equity framework. The aim of the course is to aid teachers and schools in identifying and changing equity gaps in their classrooms and schools. Habits of equity framework and curriculum help teachers build the capacity to leverage equity literacy, anti-racism, and content expertise in the teaching and learning environment. The professional development course trains cohorts of teacher leaders, gathers feedback to refine the curriculum, and creates a one-year fellowship.
