The national youth employment coalition, inc. (the coalition) is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in the state ofnew york on december 12, 1979. The coalition improves the effectiveness of organizations that seek to help youth thrive.

Policy and advocacy - the purpose of the policy and advocacy of the coalition is to keep members informed about the latest legislativeand regulatory policy developments in washington, d.c., related to workforce development, education, youth development, and to orientorganizations in promoting youth-focused public policy.
Research and data - the coalition works with members, federal agencies, academic institutions, and state/local agencies on research anddata projects to help improve outcomes for disconnected, disengaged, and systems-involved youth in communities.
Youth leadership - the coalition strives to elevate youth leadership through various engagement strategies and workgroups. Workingwith young people across the country, the coalition focuses on building skills, youth advocacy, education, community action, and socialcapital for youth connected the youth employment programs.
