Mission

The mission of Natives in VetMed is to establish a safe space for Indigenous veterinary students and professionals to share their unique perspectives, experiences and knowledge. Our goal is to foster a community aimed at supporting Indigenous veterinary students and professionals navigate a predominantly white field and centralize veterinary-related opportunities to increase accessibility for Indigenous students. We hope to fulfill our mission statement and reach our goals with the values of encouraging peer support, open dialogue, and instilling pride in our members.
