Mission
Promote, perserve and commemorate maritime history. Educate members in maritime history, in particular, naval events via email, on-line classes, and meetings. Encourage junior and high school students to research and present maritime history. Recognize and award maritime related leadership, current and historical. Promote a community of like minded individuals to share maritime related personal experiences.

Education of NOUS companions and the general public of significant maritime historical events from Revolutionary, 1812, Civil, WWI, WWII, Vietnam to Iraq wars. Major search, rescue and seizures guarding US coastal waters.
Education of companions via email, newsletters, Zoom and in person meetings on historical maritime events.
Recognition and presentation of non-monitary awards and plaques for outstanding examples of leadership by active and retired military leaders of the Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and civilians in performance of their jobs supporting maritime services and the NOUS organization
