Ncif nfp, inc. Shallfunction as a "supporting organization," within the meaning of section509(a)(3) of the code, of the national community investment fund(ncif), a trust formed under the laws of illinois pursuant to a trustinstrument dated september 19, 1995. The corporation shall carry outthe charitable activities (as defined in section 170(c)(2) of the code)in support of ncif, including the following: (i) issue debt, solicitand receive charitable contributions and philanthropic grants, and usethe funds raised to make loans or grants to ncif to support thecharitable activities of ncif, (ii) operate a loan loss reserve programby which ncif (and its 100% owned subsidiaries) may transfer to thecorporation the risk of loss on the loans that ncif or its 100% ownedsubsidiaries makes as part of its charitable activities, (iii) otheractivities to support the charitable activities of ncif.
